The Fort is an old establishment that hosts weddings and features wild game food such as Buffalo, Quail, and Elk. It was inspired by an old fur trade fort from the 1800’s. While it used to be a restaurant and home, today it’s a restaurant that hosts weddings and events. This was an old west wedding that featured close connections from a small group.

Kristin’s parents have been going to this establishment for years so what better place to celebrate their daughter’s wedding. Their group was small that included mostly family members. I was able to talk with everyone at some point during the day, which was nice. As opposed to big weddings with lots of guests, I often feel like hired help that can’t establish personal connections.

The highlight of the day for me was documenting the speeches. There were some touching moments between Kristin and her father and it was an honor to photograph them. This old west wedding may have been small in size, but was big on love.
