Mother nature decided to play a trick on us here in Colorado. Even though it was only April, I thought we were done with heavy snow storms. I was wrong. We got over a foot of snow in Genesee and I was very lucky to make it to the Pines at Genesee in my little 4 cylinder, two wheel drive Corolla. Granted once I was at the venue, my car did get stuck and I had to have several people help push my car out of all the snow. I felt really bad for Alicia because she was looking forward to having an outdoor ceremony in the woods but it was just too dangerous to accommodate. However, we did manage to take the family photos outside as well as a couple of just her and Daniel. We did have some beautiful window light inside which made for some excellent photos during the ceremony. This wedding had tons of kids, and I believe about a quarter of all the guests were kids. Alicia and Daniel have three of their own and I really enjoyed taking photos of them. The music was provided by an awesome jazz band and I forgot their name, so I’m kicking myself for that. Even though we had to forgo the outdoor ceremony, it was a beautiful wedding filled so many heartfelt moments.
